With several corporates stepping into film production, a host of movies are being made in Kollywood. As a result of which, the remuneration of the prominent actors have started to hit the roof.
The likes of Silambarasan, Dhanush, Jeevan, Jeeva, Vinay have reportedly hiked their salaries.
Says a prominent film distributor, 'the cost of production have gone up'.
'However with many corporate stepping into production, funds are no more a problem. Also many movies are doing well at the box office. As a result of which, the actor's remuneration have also gone up'.

Dhanush and Silambarasan team up?
The latest and hottest buzz in Kollywood is that Silambarasan and Dhanush might team up in a movie directed by Prabhu Deva. It is said that dance master turned director Prabhu Deva is in touch with both of them.
Silambarasan has reportedly confirmed that Prabhu Deva has contacted him for the venture. A Tamil daily has quoted Silambarasan saying that, “I am ready to act with Dhanush if the story is strong enough to cater to our respective talents”. There is no hint from Dhanush’s side about the venture.

The Telugu film industry had once again slapped a ban on Prakash Raj following his 'irregularity in attending shootings'.
According to reports, the versatile actor, whose hands are full with offers from almost all south Indian languages is unable to attend shootings in time. As a result, many Telugu films including Pawan Kalyan's 'Jalsa' and NTR's 'Kantri' were delayed.
Following this, the Producers Council imposed a ban on the actor a few months ago. However, it was revoked after a warning, as it was felt that many films in which Prakash Raj was acting would be affected.
But it is said that the actor was unable to turn up to shootings even after the warning. Apparently tired with his activities, the Telugu Producer Council has again imposed a ban on him and asked its members not to rope in the actor in their films.

Ajith - From Cannes to Kazakhstan
Soon after his return from Cannes, where he took part in the screening of his film ‘Billa’ at the Cannes Film Festival, Ajith will soon pack his bags off to Kazakhstan.
Ajith is shooting for ‘Aegan’, directed by choreographer-turned-director Raju Sundaram. Nayantara plays his heroine in the film.
The movie was shot in Hongkong, Yercaud and Vishakapattinam. Now the cast and crew are planning to fly to Kazakhstan to shoot a song sequence.
Raju sundaram, a choreographer himself, has reportedly come up with catchy dance steps for the song.
